one little WORD

Some of you follow Ali Edwards blog and have participated in her one little word challenges. Other are new to the process.... we are going to start a challenge for 2010..... here is an exerpt from Ali's blog this week...

Essentially the idea is to choose a word (or let it choose you) that has the potential to make an impact on your life.

Maybe you want to invite something or maybe you are hoping to subtract something. Maybe your word will be practical or hopeful or creative or fanciful. Maybe you need a big word, something in-your-face that will challenge you everyday. Maybe you need something smaller and quieter that will whisper gentle tidings as you make your way throughout the year.

Whatever word you end up with, make sure it is your word (not your sister's, mom's, partner's, child's, etc). You can share it publicly or keep it close to your heart.

I would like to share this adventure with you'all. I would like you to create a layout.. any size, 12 x 12, 8 x 8, 6 x 6 and bring it in. We will collect them, put them in a book and help you celebrate this word, this adventure... together..... We will host a time each month to work on the word, whether it be with a layout class, a journal, a card, a window pane.... we will get creative and be open to ideas.

For some this word will be exciting and freeing, for others it will bring healing and take great care, it might be an adventure, and involve many exciting activities, but for some it will be painful with tears... whatever your word, it will help document your life, your path and we can do it together....

Are you in? You have until January 10th to bring in your word..... if you want to share here or on the FACEBOOK page... feel free. I am still working on my word but I hope by tomorrow evening I will have one in place....
