random thoughts on a thursday

every once in awhile I am reminded of someone who is MAD talented and I want to remind you of who they are..... Michelle Wolf is a talented girl, she is able to capture just that look, and really gets to the heart of those she photographs.

and if you know me well you know that I always need a plan, somethin to look forward too, right now in this season I am waitin for Women of Faith, its not just a weekend of girls and talks, its downright fun, you will laugh you will cry you won't want to go home. I love this event.

tomorrow I have to go see mike and his treatment team, this is a really difficult think to grasp. the last two times I have gone I have been literally eaten alive and barely survived. they are harsh, horrible people... but I was asked to give them a second chance. a place I go for refuge and a reality check is Without Wax, Pete is doing a series on Paralyzed by Worry. I never thought myself as a worrier but in reality I am a control freak and I do worry, in fact I am often up at nite and can't sleep and its things I need to leave at the cross and stop trying to fix..... go see this site and watch some podcasts. its a great place to hang out and check in.

Hey Kristi, I just wanted to share what was in my little prayer book from today....knowing what you will be going through tomorrow.

It is from "Praying God's Word Day By Day" of Beth Moore's
We must never cease believing that God cares about those in physical, emotional, mental or spiritual prisons.
Jesus the Lord has annointed You to preach good news to the poor. He has sent You to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God.
You comfort all who mourn. You provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on us a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair (Isa. 61:1-3a).
I am hard pressed on every side, but I don't have to be crushed. I am perplexed, but I do not have to be in despair (2 Cor. 4:8).

Sorry it is kinda long but after reading it I immediately thought of you and said a little prayer. May you feel empowered and encouraged by it as well.

Ever think they are so awful because they're just as afraid of you as you are of them?
